This project is a full-gut renovation that reimagines an open, spacious area into a dual-purpose art gallery and residential home office. To preserve gallery circulation, we kept the floor plan open while introducing dividers and pocket doors for flexible separation. The design incorporates a custom RCP with suspended track lighting, ceiling fans, and artificial skylights that bring brightness and rhythm into the space. Z-shaped metal trims run throughout, adding subtle architectural detail, while wall-mounted flushed outlet systems (TruFig) are discreetly integrated to maintain the seamless look.
For the residential portion, we created a full-size main bathroom and a powder room for gallery visitors, balancing utility with design. The overall aesthetic blends an industrial concrete look with moments of warmth and color: bold vanities, lime-wash painted walls in the living areas, and a serene white backdrop for the gallery. In the bedroom, an artificial skylight compensates for the lack of natural light, creating a sense of openness and comfort. The result is a versatile environment that functions both as a modern gallery and a thoughtfully designed home.
